The web browser and operating system preferences of the users of the Tajdeed forum

From an upcoming report by the Society For Internet Research regarding the users of the Tajdeed forum (tajdeed.org.uk and tajdeedi.co.uk) operated in the UK by the Saudi exile group Party of Islamic Renewal (PIR):

To say that the Tajdeedis' critique of al-Hesbah and other forums as being "insecure" is ironic would be an understatement. The biggest problem that confronts the Tajdeed is their own arrogance. There is no doubt that the Tajdeed team includes some very skilled hackers, but security is not, fundamentally, a technological issue. Security starts within, it involves psychological and sociological processes that no degree in computer science will adequately prepare one to deal with.

For our part, we continue to believe that the Tajdeed participated in the attacks on the al-Hesbah forum primarily to recover users and mindshare that they lost when they went offline for an extended period to time following the London bombings of 7 July 2005.
