The Decline and Fall of Irhabi007: Episode Three, The Internet (pg. 3)

By the summer of 2004 Irhabi007 had settled into a pattern of behavior that involved setting up webpages on free hosting sites. These pages contained links to files that were stored separately - most often on FTP servers that either allowed anonymous uploading, or that Irhabi007 had broken into. For our part we kept the pressure on him, getting the free sites and the FTP servers shut down. The point of that effort was not to silence Irhabi007 - it was to keep him busy. This increased the chance of him making a mistake that would allow us to locate him. The plan worked better than expected. He made multiple mistakes, and we located him.

In July of 2004 Irhabi007 made himself the object of a Federal criminal investigation when he 'acquired' the use of an FTP server belonging to the State of Arkansas Highway Department:

On 18 July 2004 Irhabi007 announced that he was taking a little vacation, thinking the police were closing in on him:

He had a Federal case and we had located him in England. Despite this he remained at large and he didn't stay on 'vacation' very long.
